August is right around the corner which sadly means that summer is almost over. So now’s the chance to squeeze in the last of your summer fun!
Only one more month of tropical vacations, great summer weather, and extra hours of daylight. We’ve put together a list of events in San Diego to add to your end-of-summer bucket list!

1. Boots in the Park
WHEN: August 1 from 1:00pm to 10:00pm

Live music is back in San Diego and for one night only country stars Old Dominion, Dustin Lynch, Scotty McCreery, Ryan Griffin, Claire Wright & Christie Huff takeover Waterfront Park for a fun summer celebration! 2. Rafael Payare & The San Diego Symphony

3. Tuesday Night Comics

This is arguably one of San Diego’s funniest nights of comedy. The host Mark Christopher Lawrence has worked with comedy favorites like Jerry Seinfeld and Jeff Foxworthy but is best known for his role as ‘Big Mike’ on the NBC TV series ‘Chuck’. Join Mark in this special night of stand-up comedy with talent from Comedy Central, HBO, and SHOWTIME.
4. Club Tropicana! Chocolate Making Class

WHERE: Sweet Petite Confections

5. Miracle Babies Superhero 5k
WHEN: August 15 - 7am to 11am
WHERE: Liberty Station NTC Park
PRICE: Starts at $20 for Youth & $30 for Adults
Grab your best superhero costume and walk, jog, run, or fly in support of NICU parents. Participants can join in person or virtually and will receive t-shirt and swag bag. Support the cause through the course or make donations online!
6. Spoto Family Wines Culinary & Wine Event
WHEN: August 19 at 6pm
WHERE: San Diego Mission Bay Resort
PRICE: $125
This four course dining experience prepared by San Diego Mission Bay Resort Chef Roy Hendrickson features locally sourced produce that pair well with the rich flavors from Spoto Wines. Get to know winemakers Stuart and Christy Spoto and dine on a delicious meal made up of a Stone Fruit Salad, Sea Bass, Lamb Saddle Roulade, and a Bing Cherry Tart.
7. Bark & Brews Festival
WHEN: August 21 at 6pm
WHERE: Embarcadero Marina Park North

This event is the perfect chance to enjoy food and craft beers with your furry friend all while raising money for The Barking Lot Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to dog adoption and foster care. 8. HessFest XI

WHERE: Pier Plaza -Imperial Beach

HessFest is back and celebrating 11 years of great beer while raising money for the Navy Seal Foundation, Next Step Service Dogs, and the San Diego Music Foundation. Grab your blanket and chairs and enjoy a free cornhole tournament, food from City Tacos and Doggos Gus, and a concert featuring acts like The Sully Band, The Samples, and Anthony Cullins as well as interactive booths. 9. Taste of San Diego-East

The Chamber’s 12th annual popular foodie event gives guests the chance to eat their hearts out! Enjoy great food samplings, free prizes from business sponsors/vendors, a silent auction and raffles.
